SSCOG has many members working together to function as One Body in Christ!

New members are invited to serve where they are led by the Lord!


    CHURCH ADMINISTRATION-Includes the following committees for planning, facility upkeep, worship, oversight of the church’s fiduciary responsibilities: Business Meeting, Church Council, and Budget Committee.

    BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION – Includes leadership direction and oversight for various biblical education, training, and fellowship activities within the church.

    MEN’S FELLOWSHIP – Includes monthly activities for men to promote continued education and training in the word of God and fellowship among Christian men.
    • President – Min. Tracy Burkins

    MUSIC MINISTRY – Includes the Church’s entire Music Ministry and includes the music ministry groups: Adult Choir, Ensemble, Men’s Choir, and Youth Choir.

    OUTREACH MINISTRIES – Includes the Church’s effort to provide activities and support to feed the Body of Christ through the following Ministries:
    • Couple’s Ministry – Sis. Aurazela Majors, President
    • Intercessory Prayer – Rev. Marceline Anum, President
    • Ghana Mission – Rev. Marceline Anum, President
    • Prison Ministry – Rev. Marceline Anum, President
    • VBS Ministry – Sis. Libby Caridine, Sis. Aurazela Majors, Min. Tracy Burkins & Sis. Michelle Burkins

    COMMUNION – Includes the invitation and taking of Communion the 1st Sunday of each month during morning services. Members and guests who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior are invited to take Communion. In doing this, we remember the Lord’s death until he returns.

    SPECIAL EVENTS – Includes the Church’s efforts to provide inclusive programming for youth and adults for Black History, Resurrection Sunday, Christmas Celebration, Anniversaries, and Commemorations.

    SUNDAY SCHOOL – Includes the Church’s effort to train all children, youth, teenagers, young adults, and adults in the knowledge of salvation, daily living, and how to have a personal relationship with God. Activities and incentives are provided to all youth and young adult participants to encourage their attendance and study in the word of God.

    TRUSTEES – Includes activities to maintain and upgrade the church facilities and provide oversight in the services and contracts provided for maintenance and repair of the church.

    USHER MINISTRY – Includes ministry to greet and welcome visitors and guests, provide information and direction regarding services and facilities, and promote orderly movement and conduct throughout the facility.

    VIDEO MINISTRY – Provides DVD taping of services which can be purchased for ongoing viewing. This includes Sunday Morning Worship Services and Special Events.

    WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP/AUXILIARY – Includes monthly activities for women to promote continued education and training in the word of God and fellowship among Christian women. Also meet to promote extending assistance and services to other external ministries.

    WORSHIP COMMITTEE – Includes setting up, scheduling, and oversight for Worship Leaders for Sunday Morning Worship Activities.

    YOUTH MINISTRY – Includes monthly education and training activities, fellowship and game night activities, external fun activities to inspire youth and young adults to learn the word of God, fellowship together, and live for Christ.
